Joel Vandroogenbroeck
Joël Vandroogenbroeck (born 25 August 1938 in Brussels, Belgium; died 23 December 2019 in Arlesheim, Switzerland) was a Belgian multi-instrumentalist and founder, and only long-time member, of experimental rock band Brainticket. See also V.D.B. Joel and Eric Vann. Vandroogenbroeck grew up studying classical piano before switching to jazz. He received the Art Tatum prize as “youngest jazz pianist” at the age of fifteen, and toured around Europe
